Milissa joined the Brooks Law Firm in 1999 and focuses primarily on real estate transactions and development, estate planning and probate matters and entity formation and structure for small to medium-sized businesses.
Milissa is very active in the Quad Cities community having served as a Board Member and Board Chairperson of the Bettendorf Family Museum of Arts and Science, on the Board of Directors of the Quad Cities Golf Classic Charitable Foundation/John Deere Classic and on the Board of Directors of the Nahant Marsh Education Center. She was also very active in the Cody Elementary PTA, having served as the Vice President and President, Chapter LM of P.E.O. and the Augustana College Planned Giving Council.
Milissa graduated from Augustana College in 1990, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts in English. She graduated from Drake University School of Law, obtaining her Juris Doctor in 1993. She is a member of the Scott County Bar Association, where she served on the Executive Council, the Rock Island County Bar Association, the Iowa State Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association.
Milissa and her husband, Bernard, who is also a shareholder with the Brooks Law Firm, P.C., have two children. Her hobbies and interest include spending time with family and friends, cooking, gardening, golfing and running.
